Will my G Suite account continue to work with third-party applications such as Padlet?

In December 2019, the District will be changed all District staff member G Suite email address to @ecsdfl.us accounts. This change was necessary to ensure that staff email remains distinct from student email. It may be necessary for staff to edit their third-party accounts such as Padlet to reflect the change. Below is the app specific information that District IT staff have identified. Through a ticket, users may request that their @ecsdfl.us account be changed back to @ecsd.me temporarily to update individual accounts.

Actively Learn

Testing with Actively Learn indicated that users lose access to their account with the change. Therefore, IT staff have contacted Actively Learn and asked them to update our accounts with them on Friday, December 6th. They have agreed to do so. All Actively Learn accounts should now be fully functional. 
 
CK-12
 
IT staff contacted CK-12 and asked them to update our accounts with them. Unfortunately, they would not. Therefore, any staff who have accounts need to manually change their @ecsd.me email address to @ecsdfl.us. Note that you may need to request to have your @ecsd.me account temporarily reactivated to make this change.
 
CommonLit
 
Testing with CommonLit indicated that users lose access to their account with the change. Therefore, IT staff contacted CommonLit to request their assistance in maintaining access. CommonLit staff have recommended that staff change the email address under their account to be their new school-defined email address (@ecsdfl.us). Note that you may need to request to have your @ecsd.me account temporarily reactivated to make this change. CommonLit staff ask that any users who experience any issues with the change contact support at help@commonlit.org .
 
Code.org
 
Testing with Code.org indicated that users lose access to their account with the change. Therefore, IT staff have contacted Code.org to request their assistance in maintaining access. Code.org staff have recommended that staff change the email address under their account to be their new school-defined email address (@ecsdfl.us). This can be done from their Account Settings page (studio.code.org/users/edit) at any time, even if their new email address and the associated inbox isn't officially set up yet. Note that you may need to request to have your @ecsd.me account temporarily reactivated to make this change.
 
CoSpaces Edu
 
Testing with CoSpaces Edu indicated that users lose access to their account with the change. Therefore, IT staff contacted CoSpaces Edu to request their assistance in maintaining access. CoSpaces Edu staff have recommended that staff login to CoSpaces Edu with their Google account prior to December 5th (this will force a change in the staff member's user record that will make the change function properly beginning on Friday, December 6th, when the District makes the change. Note that you may need to request to have your @ecsd.me account temporarily reactivated to make this change if you have not already done so.
 
Epic!

Testing with Epic! has indicated that users lose access to their account with the change. Therefore, IT staff contacted Epic! to request their assistance in maintaining access. Epic! staff have requested that staff member contacts Epic! support at support@getepic.com to request assistance with this change. 

Nearpod
 
Testing with Nearpod indicated that users lose access to their account with the change. Therefore, IT staff contacted Nearpod to request their assistance in maintaining access. Nearpod staff requested that staff member contacts Nearpod support at support@nearpod.com to request assistance with this change.
 
Padlet
 
Testing with Padlet indicated that users will access to their account with the change. Therefore, IT staff contacted Padlet and asked them to update our accounts with them on Friday, December 6th. They have agreed to do so. All Padlet accounts should now be fully functional.
 
Quizizz
 
IT staff contacted Quizizz and asked them to update our accounts with them. Unfortunately, they would not. Therefore, any staff who have accounts need to manually change their @ecsd.me email address to @ecsdfl.us. Note that you may need to request to have your @ecsd.me account temporarily reactivated to make this change.
 
Sites (Google Sites Classic)
 
Testing with Google Sites (classic version) indicated that users lose access to their account with the change. Therefore, IT staff contacted Google and asked them for assistance. Google staff have responded that for Classic Sites, the URL will keep pointing to the old domain (ecsd.me) and the users will have to manually modify the URL when they need to access the site, or bookmark them for easy access. Note that you may need to request to have your @ecsd.me account temporarily reactivated to make this change.
